Default 59ab oil pressure sending unit

I believe my oil pressure sending unit is shot. Is there a way to test one. If it is not good, There are 50 and 80 units. Which is correct for a 59ab. Thanks Ron

80 lb, test it by using a mechanical gauge.

If your gauge reads to 80psi, use the 80psi sender.
If it only reads to 50psi, use the 50psi sender.

Are they marked in any way to identify?

All 80 lb senders are marked 80 on the bottom. 50 lb senders may be marked 50, or not marked at all.
