My friend from the Northwest received his 40th anniversary certificate with MAFCA during our National Awards Banquet here in Oklahoma City. Congrats to Steve.

I received an award also, but it was only for a five minute writing endeavor. Congratulations to Pluck who actually did accomplish something. It was a fun filled few days there in Oklahoma City. Got to talk to the ex Governor Nigh about John Steinbeck and the Grapes of Wrath. Many Okies hate Steinbeck for that but I thought he was brilliant and may have hurt the old boy, but he had never met the man and I had.

Don't know of many who don't like John Steinbeck. My father made the trip to California on the back of a 29 Chevrolet flat bed truck after his father lost the farm in the depression. The former Governor is one of our states greatest assets. Glad to hear you had a good time while you were here. Must have been an inspired 5 minutes.

Thanks...It was great to see you an all my friends that I have met over the years in this great hobby. The Sonner A's did a great job!!!

I must say the biggest surprise was to my friends Tom and Barbra Moniz rom Sacramento, CA...They had no idea I was going to be there to see him receive his award for the photo he took for The Restorer...It was classic...wish I had a photo!
