Default Marvel carbuetor

Is there any source of specifications for a Marvel carburetor? I have one I would like to try. The top cover is warped. Has anyone successfully straightened one? How about a source for parts. Thanks. Howie

Somebody sells gaskets for the Marvel, but I've long ago lost the address. I think that's all that's available. Maybe somebody on this board has contact information. I haven't searched "Marvel Carburetors" to see if it's archived. They require a slightly different fitting on the gas line. Or at least mine does. I'm not using it any more because the float seemed to stick sometimes and I had about a dozen good Tillotsons, which I like.

Mike's carries gasket kits for them. The jets are cast into the carb body and not replaceable as far as I know.

I have two of these carbs and can't seem to get them to idle. They run stronger than my Tilley's but still working on the idle. I have found that Renners carries some of the parts to rebuild. If anyone has a suggestion for making them idle better, I'm all ears.

Down the page a bit - Look for Allstate 2405
