engine stand
Anyone have a 49-53 8BA engine stand for purchase. What I'm looking for is one the engine can go on to ride in the back of a truck not one that you can flip upside down and such.
Thanks |

Re: engine stand
Short of finding the cradle you're searching for, many guys just set an old tire in the pick-up and set the engine pan down onto the tire. Tie it off appropriately to keep the engine steady when you accelerate or hit the brakes. DD

Re: engine stand
I am with V8COOPMAN. It is quick, easy, pretty much any tire store would have a takeoff tire, preferably a larger tire, for next to nothing. I have moved engines from Kansas to South Carolina with no issues and engines from the house to the car wash numerous times
with no issues. |

Makes strapping it down in a trailer or pickup bed very stable. When I'm finished, it breaks down for easy storage for next time. |

Re: engine stand
There's also a guy on the H.A.M.B. that makes them. You can look over there (the search there works better than the one on here.)

Re: engine stand
That's the guy I was thinking of. Now you don't have to do a "Search".
