Speedometer Issue
My '30 close cab pickup's speedometer accurately records my speed up to 35 mph, at that point it won't record any faster speed. The odometer continues to record distance accurately, but the speedometer will not go beyond 35 mph. Any ideas?

Re: Speedometer Issue
1930 coupe is right. The wheel is magnetically driven, so nothing is being harmed but there has to be a mechanical blockage.

Re: Speedometer Issue
Yo, Compadre,
The lens is quite easy to remove, so you can turn the indicator to see what's blocking it. It'll be something SIMPLE! Might be a BUG stuck in it! Be glad the indicator shaft is NOT seized, took me forever to free up mine!!! Bill W.

Re: Speedometer Issue
Hay if you can take the speedometer out and try to turn it side to side to see if the top wheel will spin free. If it dose then it is in the mag. if it dose not then something is locking the wheel in side. You will need to take the bezel off to see. Let me know what you find and I will try to help. If it is the mag it will have to be rebuilt. papanick
