Stock '41 V8: Is it 59, 59A or 59AB?
Everyone in here seems to talk about 8BA V8's. What designation would I have as my stock '41 85 hp flathead?

"A" actually 81a unless it has the Mercury engine and then it would be a 99a. does you seriel number begin with an 18-zzzzzz?

Probably 81A engine. Wartime were 41A. Here's a link to Mac Van Pelts site on the 24 stud engines from 1938 to 1948. http://vanpeltsales.com/FH_web/flath...85to100mid.htm
