That would be a great truck to use in some way for fundraising for your local vets. People would love to check it out, it would help to draw people in. Maybe do a raffle for a chance for a free ride in it.

I am a Viet Nam era USMC vet and I think your pick up is fantastic! Thank you for posting it.

As a USMC Vietnam vet I say, who says there never was one!
Thanks for sharing an outstanding looking truck especially with USMC on it.

You should not say never was. Marines have had a way of doing things differently for a long time. Retired USMC.

I agree with the "Who knows..." crew. While the military has specifications for everything, they are also excellent scroungers. You could easily put together a story of a motorpool finding and conscripting an old Model A into general utility work around a base in the US, a unit hack. Probably less likely in Europe or the Pacific. You should consider adding some unit markings to the bumper, something like 6C 28R * HQ3 (Third vehicle, Headquarters unit, 28th Recon, 6th Cavalry) to add to the story.

Local veterans groups, re-enactors, etc. will love it. You'll also be the hit of the Custom Cruisers car show when you show up.

Army Motors is where the truck that never was came from. I am going to research on adding to it.

My grandfather was in the AAF in Hawaii (before being shipped out), I have pics of his buddies working on a 30-31 roadster. Not military livery but they were working on one on base. Who knows, maybe they did use it around the base.

Neat truck!

Ford did offer an accessory bed cover for the Model A, similar to the one on your truck.

Super fun looking vehicle.

It was for sale on eBay back in March 2015. Click here (or on the photo below) to see that eBay listing with more photos and description of this unique Model A.

Here is a photo of the inside of the truck as show on eBay:
