Question Install radiator hardware?

Hi all, putting radiator back in my ‘35 after over a year, long story & won’t go into. Can’t remember & didn’t take detailed enough pics of hardware. With regard to the spring mount bolts, do springs go above mounting holes or below? Also is fender to radiator hardware flat head or round head screws. Thinking mine were round head as it’s what’s in the radiator hardware zip lock but looks like flat heads might b better?

Like the picts on MVP's site: rubber pad, radiator flange, spring, washer, nut, cotter pin in the order from first to last.

The trick is getting the bolt from underneath to stay in place while you put on the spring and washer and nut. I ended up going from top down; bolt, washer, spring, flange, rubber pad, frame, and nut with cotter key on the bottom. Vice grips to hold the top of the bolt.

I used a specialist to help me get the lower radiator bolts in my 46 Coupe, one of my grandsons. They have small hands, good eye sight, can squirm up under the dash, and are a lot quicker at getting the forgotten tool from the tool box.

So, it doesn't matter if the bolt comes up thru from the bottom or down thru from the top?
I think I did it your way, Drolston. Been so long i can't remember how I did it. Terry

The bolt will work in either direction, the issue is if you are concerned about being correct (as in how it left the factory) or only interested in it being functional.
