First new block build.
Well, I suppose I have to tell everyone that I went down to Kevin Prus Jr.'s to see the first engine running. But when I got there, there was only silence. That's because he had shut it down as he slowly broke it in. He started it for me and I shot several minutes of video, that I will post on YouTube, asap. I don't mind saying I am happy the first one runs nicely with almost exclusively used parts. Proof that the block is fit to be a stock replacement block.
Stay tuned for the YouTube link. Tod |

There is a short video on my Facebook page. About 50 seconds, I think.

Re: First new block build.
So this means I won't have to collect 6 blocks in the hope of finding one without deck cracks?

Re: First new block build.
Good job!
That engine should be installed in my Phaeton to be sure it gets a proper break-in. |
