1930-31 model A phaeton 4-Dr
Hi Folks,I have a 1930-31 model A 4Dr phaeton,the problem is that years ago it was chopped just behind the front seat,leaving no side rails for the sub frame.I have enquied and you cant buy new ones or rear half ones.Has any
one got any advice or sorce to get new ones.Many thanks, Gerry Best (NZ) |

you prubably need to find a donor car or make it...

Being from New Zealand I think you may have different parts than the U.S. Phaetons.

1930/31 Standard Phaetons in NZ were RHD Canadian manufactured cars.

Gerryde, I have a 1930 Standard Phaeton Canadian LHD. There is no upholstery in it, so it would be easy to take photos if you need any. Darryl in a very warm and sunny Fairbanks

No they were not, except Ford Australia did their own body building & used wood because it was cheaper & did not require presses to stamp metal.
The export Canadian Model A's to NZ & other British Dominions were the same bodies as in Nth America, except of course, there were many local commercial/truck jobs made as was common in that era in all countries. |
