Only if you swap the engines into the same car for each test. Cheating the aero is a big part of it.

A car cruising at 50 mph may require only 10 horsepower to overcome aerodynamic drag, but that same car at 100 mph requires 80 hp. With a doubling of speed the drag quadruples. A car has a lower drag coefficient that only takes 8 horsepower to maintain 50 will only need 64 ponies to run 100.

I am still working on breaking 190 mph
We are pushing around 300 hp
Both the motor and I are sweating….

If you use a smaller pulley on the two blade fan it'll pull all the air thru the radiator and create a vacuum in front of the car?

With a big enough fan, the car becomes an airplane and they do not let airplanes run in that class.

The only performance numbers I ever thought to remember were told to me by Cummins engineering in the mid 80's.He said it takes 239 HP to maintain 65 MPH in a cabover truck with a box grossing 80,000,level road,no wind.He said there were variables, different gearing, radial or bias tires, smooth or outside post trailers, air quality, outside temp, etc. But,he also said that was a surprisingly accurate number even with all the variables.Came into my mind probably hundreds of times as I rowed with two sticks behind a 220 Cummins, hoping to hit 60.
