Default Pans

I'm getting loud metallic vibrating noises from the side pans. If I hit them with a rubber hammer the noise stops momentarily. How can I fix the problem?

Are you speaking of engine pans?

If so, this was a problem that plagued Model-A owners back in the day. Look at where they are loose (usually where the pan bolts at the oil pan rail), and work on being able to secure that area with a fastener where it is tight again.
