Default Rear Bumper Brace

Which is stronger, the early type with welded ends or the later stamped version? I’m of the opinion that the earlier one is stronger and less prone to crack. I need one and my 1930 could probably get away with either.( may build) (It won’t be judged). Does anyone have an extra they want to part with??

Likely the tubular one is a little stronger than the early stamped one. We see (-i.e.: fix) more cracking on the early stamped ones. Because of this, Ford seemed to make some upgrade changes in the stamped ones when they upgraded from the 3 hole to the 2 hole when they went to the ribbed and the reinforced one.

Did not know there were “three” models of the brace.
