3 sample rocker covers for the OHV heads just out of the sand before clean up and shot blast.

Fine job, a great deal of thought has gone into this, and the results arequite rewarding. So far I've spent 2 years and a few mistakes in developing my new intake port. It's basicaly done now, time to convert a block and try it. Unfortunately, even if it works, it's not for street, racing only. However if installed in a new casting would increase to preformance of the stock engine.

"Aluminum is lighter and easier to port and modify. However aluminum can "suck" more heat out of the chamber due to it's higher thermal conductivity. The aluminum head may run cooler, which helps pack more air into the chamber because the incoming cool air does not pick up as much heat. Both of these aspects can help avoid detonation and improve volumetric efficiency.
However, loosing heat to the coolant rather than keeping in the chamber to push on the top of the piston should reduce thermal efficiency. One of the exciting things I see here is maybe we can use a better exhaust system than with the standard port location. With the ports being higher, is it possible to use extractors with one of these heads in a RHD car?
Is there an ejector seat available too? |

I can't see how extractors would do much with low revs and low compression.
The primary tubes need to be long, and that's ugly. I gather the original exhaust manifold is not bad either. |
