Default Distributer Condenser and Points

My Model A uses the standard Model A distributor but with the modern condenser mounted on the top side of the upper plate and modern point set. What do I ask for at the NAPA store to replace these items? Thank you, Ed

Does the Snyders kit for a modern distributor work? PN A-12127-RKM.

They also have just the modern plate for about half the money. See A-12151-C

Why not call up Bratton's and they will send you the correct parts...You'll have them in a couple of days 800-255-1929 or Arizona Model A 480-782-0266. If they have two quality levels, purchase the good stuff...Ernie in Arizona

Ask for a set of points for any 1957 and up Ford V-8 until they stopped using points. Mustang, Fairlane, all use the same points in the V-8s

Ford V8 points and condenser, any year 50s to 70s. Get the expensive ones at your local parts store such as NAPA, etc. The cheap chinese ones are junk.

Not sure about the points, but the condenser at NAPA is an Echlin FA-82. I learned that part number sitting on my running board at the side of the road.
