1950 Horn Button
Hi All,
Did all 1950 passenger cars have a chrome bar around the horn ring? or just some of them? Thanks, Steve |

Re: 1950 Horn Button
The Custom Deluxe cars had the chrome horn rim, the Deluxe did not have them.

Re: 1950 Horn Button
Yours is for a Deluxe model. Also, there are no chrome caps on the pointed ends of the dash on a DeLuxe model.

Re: 1950 Horn Button
There are no chrome caps...clock was blocked off but I added one. Should it have a chrome bezel?

Re: 1950 Horn Button
No, but I got shocked every time I blew the horn on a 1957 MG Magnette I had in the late '60's. A couple of years a go, I was looking at the H.A.M.B. and lo and behold, there was a thread on the subject. There is a logical reason for it, but for the life of me, I can't remember it.
You might do a search over there. |
