Horn Power
I just installed a new horn / light switch rod in my steering column. Lights - parking, low beam, and high beam are A oK. l don’t have any current to the horn. I’m not sure what to look for.

Re: Horn Power
The power goes from the cutout straight to the horn, the ground goes
from the horn button through the light switch to the horn. Bob |

Re: Horn Power
As Bob said, take a voltmeter check your wires at the horn you should have a hot to ground on the engine and then if you Push the horn button you should have a ground on the other wire

Re: Horn Power
Searching the circuits out and refusing to the proper wiring diagram l did locate the problem.
Someone cut off the pos. wire and tucked it back into the sheathing feeding the horn. Now I need to rebuild the existing horn. |

Re: Horn Power
I agree with tha but it's a pity they aren't as loud as other similar horns on other cars. There is quite a difference between the Model A horn and the ones on Chrysler cars for example.
