Default CCPU Moulding And Drip Rail Color Question

Looking for advice as to the proper color for the front and rear roof moulding strips as well as the side drip rails for a 30 CCPU. The JS stipulates types that were used but I don't see proper colors. Any input would be appreciated.

It may not be correct but I painted mine semi gloss black to better match the top material .

Per the "Restoration Guidelines", page 9-2 of the 2016 revisions: "Generally, steel moldings were prepainted to match the top material and installed after the body was painted, except Sport Coupe drip moldings that were prepainted to match the upper body. Aluminum moldings were installed earlier and painted with the body."

Thanks for the response Don. I did read that in the JS but must confess to still being confused about the drip mouldings. I do understand the front and back top mouldings were painted black to match the top material,,,,, but am still puzzled about the side drip mouldings. I have received conflicting input from those "in the know" that the drip mouldings were either black or body color.

I would think that if the top material is attached under the drip rails like the tudor sedan the moldings should be black

That sounds logical to me. Just want to make sure I do it correctly.

The top and drip moldings on your 1930 Closed Cab Pickup are all steel moldings that cover the edges of the top material. They are painted black and installed after the top material is installed.
