painting my Falcon Ranchero
I'm about to order the paint for my 63 Falcon Ranchero and would like to get an idea of how much paint to buy. I'll be buying from TCP Global and using a single stage acrylic urethane. I will not be painting the door jams but will be painting the inside of the bed etc. Any ideas?

Re: painting my Falcon Ranchero
I used there paint to do my 57 ranchero about a 11 years ago, it laid down really nice with a high gloss and still looks like the day I painted it. I would think a gallon would be plenty by the time you reduce it but I always like to get a little extra, they were super helpful on how much to get and what other products you would need to go with it. Like they say its all in the preparation , spraying the paint is the easy part. Good luck

I'm not sure why all the pictures showed up the way they did?

The bed looks nice. I hate to see a dented-up bed that's been freshly painted.

Re: painting my Falcon Ranchero
Back to the OP's question. I painted my '95 Dodge Dakota pickup with single stage however, I didn't paint the inside of the bed nor did I paint the doorjambs. That being said, I bought a gallon of paint, sprayed three coats of color and I still have about 1/4 of the gallon can left.
So yeah, a gallon should do it. To be safe, maybe order and extra quart. |

Re: painting my Falcon Ranchero
a gallon will be enough if its reduced 4/1/1 you ll have 6 qts of color try to use a sealer close to your color you can get blk white or gray if you go to my profile you can see my 64 ranchero that was a bc/cc paint job

Re: painting my Falcon Ranchero
If you buy more than a gallon be sure to mix both together so you end up with the same color. Ask me how I know!
