Default clutch chatter 41

Well I finally got the new engine in my panel, everything is ok except for the very bad clutch chatter. Peddle feels fine and it shifts fine other than taking off or going in reverse. Every now and then it works well but for the most part there is no gentile slide. No oil leaks and all of the bolts are tight in the right places. Any ideas?

thanks guys.

I assume that all mounts are correcr and good and the transmission and engine are in correct alignment. Then I would come to the conclusion that the forks on the pressure plate are not level with the flywheel.

This sounds almost too simple but have you checked the tire pressure? Low pressure can cause bad clutch chatter. Been there, done that.

Did you use the same flywheel? Sometimes that will cause chatter if it is warped. Are the stay rods in place?
