Default 1942-1948 Fordor upholstery differences

I picked up a 1942 Ford Fordor that needs upholstery. Will this take the same patterns that are used for the 1946-1948 sedans?

Possibly, some do and some don't. If I was you I would purchase the 1941-1948 Book offered by the V-8 Club. It shows all the color swatches for the different models in color. It also goes into detail about what was used in various models. Do you have a specific fabric style. and color, if you do I can look it up for you.

I believe the 41-48 used the same seat frames, so the patterns should all be the same. But as mentioned before, the materials used would be the difference. (Someone please correct me if I am wrong)

Thank you. With the comments, links and also searching the catalogs of suppliers I have found that the 1942-48 cars are all pretty much the same with regards to upholstery.

I would call LeBaron Bonney as that's who I used on my '40 Standard Sedan and they will send you a swatch of the different materials. My seats turned out great ! Expensive, but great !

Yes, LeBarron Bonney is expensive, but I understand that they are good. I have used Cartouche and it required returning for corrections, which they handled well. My favorite is Automotive Interiors in the Detroit-Windsor area. I bought seat covers, headliner and enough material for all the side panels in a 1951 Ford Tudor, delivered for $705 about four years ago. That would probably be around $1100 now.
They fit well and were really cheap. I will try them again.
