1934 Ford BB weight??
I need to haul my 1934 BB home and I need to know how much it weighs before I throw it on my trailer. I don't need an exact to-the-pound number.....just a general ballpark. My truck is complete with the V8 and has a wooden flat bed on it.
Is there a reference that lists specs for early Ford vehicles (like weight, wheel base, etc)? Just wondering. |

Re: 1934 Ford BB weight??
James K. Wagner's book "Ford Trucks since 1905" gives a lot of information.
Try this in the meantime... (might need to scroll down to find the BB) http://restoreyourford.com/1934tinfoid.shtml

Re: 1934 Ford BB weight??
I don't recall the exact source of the following information, but here are published weights for a 34 BB stake truck:
131" wheelbase = 4363 lbs 157" wheelbase = 4667 lbs.

Re: 1934 Ford BB weight??
Thanks 41panelmark. I forgot I'd posted pictures. I added a couple more since we pulled it out of the barn. It sat over the winter so most of the pigeon crap got washed off. I can't wait to get it home and get it running.

Nice complete truck! Picture number 1 (with barn in the background) has an Andrew Wyeth look to it.

Very nice!
The doors look beautiful, doesn't even appear to have mangled lower hinges. |
