Re: garage creeper
My dad has one, or at least the angled steel wheels. They were screwed to a piece of plywood for as long as I can remember. Those wheels have a lot of miles on them.

Re: garage creeper
I always save large heavy cardboard sheets. You can slide around on them and it gives more belly clearance plus tools and parts don't get lost. Works on stones, grass or what ever. G.M.

Re: garage creeper
Somebody said they liked the NAPA 6 wheeler,,I'm happy for them,,,the 4 wheel version without the adjustable head rest is CHINK JUNK, don't bother with it. I've had a wooden Balcamp for almost 50 years, wore out the cast angle casters. Can't find decent replacements....

Re: garage creeper
I have yet to find a creeper I like and to this day I still use the cardboard. I guess old habits are just plain hard to break. And the upside is when you need to get up the cardboard cushions your knee's.

Re: garage creeper
I still like the cardboard creepers. There is more clearance and as GM said, you can slide around on it.

Re: garage creeper
The low profile cardboard is also known as an Indian creeper round here!

Re: garage creeper
I've used lots of the low profile type and they have the advantage of being recyclable!

Re: garage creeper
I bought the low profile Harbor Freight fiberglass 6 wheel creeper and find no faults.
Worth every cent of the $19.99 coupon special cost. I have a lift too, but the creeper is a keeper. Beat the cardboard ones I used for 40 years. |
