Default Nice day for a shakedown run.

Re-did the seat this morning and got the bug to go for a drive. Did about 20 miles into town. Took it for a shakedown run, only problem I had was that I had left the park brake partially on and in no time at all I had white smoke rolling out from every corner of the truck. I hope I did not damage my lungs. Otherwise not bad for 1st long run since 1973.

panelmark-I am jealous, looks good going down the road-50mph? what rear gear do you have, 2 sp? makes me want to work on my 41 1 1/2 ton so I can drive it. My goal is to go to the Labor Day Farm show with the bed all redone, and the fenders repaired

The truck moves along fine, (if you take the park brake off). Single speed rear end. Got to get the sender fixed for the fuel tank, work on the wiper motor, repair the front fenders and polish it up. I also will put the correct spare tire carrier back on as well as the spare. I plan to work on the bed later in the fall maybe, have to haul compost and things for the garden 1st. Anyone have an old truck floor mat they would be interested in selling?

Regarding the floor mat, make a pattern out of sheets of paper taped togther so you can get every angle and corner covered. Then find a rubber mat distributor, like for horse trailers or machine shop floor coverings and trim a good piece to fit your truck! I made mine for the '33.
