40 pickup springs
I'm in the process of assembling my basically stock truck, exceptions are T5 transmission, 8" rear and modifying the stock wishbones. Question, the sprigs seem to be stiff for a daily driver has anyone remove leaf's to soften the ride? Or have a suggestion?

Re: 40 pickup springs
Is this in the frot or rear? Up front I've removed as many as 5 and also got a reversed eye lower spring to continue to bring the nose down. Couple all of that with a dropped axle, and you are looking good. As for ride, I lined the springs using the "u" shaped teflon stuff - worked pretty well in my 40 coupe w/6 years plus on the road.

Re: 40 pickup springs
How about shocks, stock or tube ?
I'm using a mono leaf spring with shocks from Posies. |
