Default 1936 Ford Windscreen seal

Hey all, I picked up a Ford Pilot windshield frame (brass) which I have had rechromed for my 36 sedan, I purchased a new windsreen outer seal, but cant find a part number to order a new glass to frame seal??? Does anyone have a reference book that gives a part number for this seal??? Thanks

The old school way of doing it is to get some glass setting tape from your local automotive glazier. Immerse this in oil and fit the frame around the glass with the oiled tape between. Trim the excess. Theory is that the oil will soften and expand the tape, thus providing a watertight seal. I used to assemble mine, now I can't stand the agro! Just get your local glass guy to fit it. That way, if he breaks the glass or whatever, it's on him! Brian

Brian, I think something similar was done to this one as it was not very uniform and fell to bits when I pulled it apart, I was even thinking of an oring or similar in square section if there is no origional part to fit the screen.

Ken, Unfortunately NO, I have to give him my frame as a trade as he is chopping the pick up cab. Theyt are rare even out here!!!
