Default Help Identify a helmet

Grabbed these from my stash, the one on the right seem to have a separate contact for the points, whereas the left one has what I call a normal points set. I want to try them on my 41 to troubleshoot a no spark problem, seems like the left one is more correct.

The one on the left is correct for a 41 assuming it has 11A stamped on the cam

Try this again

The one on the left should be the one you use ideally it will have an 11A stamped where the rotor shaft interfaces with the CAM.

The one on the left is stock 37-41 (11A marking on the back of the shaft indicates 41).

The one on the right has 32-36 guts installed with the earlier points.I have done this trick a few times myself, I find the earlier shafts and points easier to set up and longer lasting in service. Some of the 37-41 housings have blanked off plug locations that can be drilled for easy point adjustment and allow for 32-36 rubber plugs installed. If you want to take a very long time to rebuild a distributor you can do a lot of work to precisely fit the larger 32-36 rotor and caps into the later distributor.

Build the one on the left , napa contacts cs47 are great contact sets. clean lube and adjust would be a 11A or a #68 ......
