Default adjustable lifters

1941flathead ford 85hp: adjustng [email protected]" intake, .016'exhaust. Should I measure just as opposing valve is starting to close, as in exhaust just starting to descend, check/ adjust intake and likewise with exhaust/intake?

If you can get an older “Motors Manual” they show a sequence where you only have to turn crank 4 times to adjust all valves. I used it and it did save time.

Be careful, some methods do NOT put the cam exactly on the heel center.
You will NOT get an accurate adjustment that way.

Use kurtV's method. It works for all cams.

LOL...

There was one engine we built a long time ago where that method didn't work.
The cam in that one turned 1/3 engine speed.

Thanx I'll try kurts method. I put a pointer against the pulley so I can mark it exactly
