For Sale: 1939 or 1940 Mercury NOS Trunk Handle 99A-7043500. Please read all of this. You be the expert on whether it is for a 39 or 40 Merc. This item is NOS Genuine Ford and found in the obsolete stock of a Ford Lincoln Mercury Dealership many years ago. It has never been mounted to a car. It was a war time issue to the dealership. Many items I got from the dealerships were this color. Chrome was at a premium during World War 2. So because there was never any chrome on it the metal is nice and smooth. And when you send it out to be plated you will get a perfect job. There is no lock in it as that is how they were sold. The swinging cover has a dent in it but could be fixed easy.
