Default Re: Noise in 2nd gear 39 Transmission

The tranny in my '39 peekup had a loud noise. Turns out the uni cups were loose and the uni was rubbing/wearing the cups. It also was a 35 tranny. I replaced it with a 39 tranny with Van's grea5 help in refreshing some parts. It is fine now. The 35 tranny has been corrected now and heading for Hershey sometime.

THANKS Mac,
I missed facts on first read !
We are lucky to have you as resource and friend , especially For parts and tech.

The torque tube setup in our cars pose a diagnostic problem as sounds travel up and down drivetrain. I have such problem in my 5 window ‘32 coupe.
Ive bought trans stuff from you in past. Ive rebuilt top loaders. Too old infirm now to diagnose and fix. Doesnt keep me from trying.
Question: Do you stock the rubber mount on the rear of ‘32 trans ?
