Default fuel pressure question

Hey guys, 1952 F1- std. Flathead. one ford 94 carb--What fuel pressure is best? I've got 3.5 lbs. about what the ford repair manual wants. A lot of the posts on this forum suggests much less. What am I missing? Thanks, Jerry

I would consider that fine being the max. I have seen others post that 3 psi is max but unless you are experiencing problems I would go with what the manual.

"Go with the flow" of 3-3.5.

The problem directly related to excess fuel pressure is that pressure overpowering the float needle valve, flooding the carburetor. If this is not happening, you’re good to go.
