Re: New Guy With Old Ford Truck
welcome to the "barn". I have two 41 trucks, one original 1 1/2 ton, other is runstorated 3/4 ton. There is not a lot of differences in the cabs from 40 to 47, the most promonent is the way the front fenders attach to the cab 40/41 bolt to the cab with bolts on the cowl kick panel (8 bolts) the 42 up fenders attach ro rhwe cowl kick panel with one bolt on each side-lets the fenders move with the frame. 40 dash has a raised panel for the Ford script in the center 41 up has two holes to attache a raised panel with ford scrip embossed. I am in western SC and will be glad to answer questions you may have.

Welcome Wayne! Sounds like you have an interesting project. Anxious to see pictures as you progress. The `40 Ford cars and pickups are among my favorites.

Welcome to the barn Wayne. Sounds like a great project and you'll find plenty of 40 PU fans here. There are some really great people here that you can count on. Pictures are always nice too! RPM
