Default Tires

I want to put new tires on my 28 roadster. 425/450 21 I believe are on it now. I want to put white wall tires but they are over $225 at most places. Any ideas of a good but not expensive tire. For safety I will pay more if I have to. Need to find a shop that can mount them in Lexington,NC that I can trust.

Shop around for free shipping and then my tire choice is GoodYears. I have yet to hear a complaint about them. And they look classy.

Actually, I offered to assist him if desired, with the installation of the tires. We are about 40 miles away from each other and I have put on many a set of tires.

A nice offer. Fitting these tyres is easy peezy - hardly need any tools even. I made up a stand to balance them based on an old stub axle and an old set of bearings. I consider balancing these tyres essential.

When mounting, seek out the garbage bag method
Makes it much easier

I've never used it and find the ordinary way easy enough to not bother.

I have Firestones. My last set were Good Year, but I think they wear a lot faster than the Firestones.
