Default hot engine

today replaced my rear end bearings { all of them} 55 merc / 96 explorer rear don't want to do that again now after driving a while the temp gauge creeps up to the hot zone changed the sending unit moving up slower could the thermostat be hanging up not overheating just reading hot i am running the stock 4 blade fan i have a shroud on order thanks

If you are thinking of replacing the thermostat, use a wide mouth one. NAPA #6 is a good choice. 170 degree
