Default 30-31 Sedan windshield install help

I've been doing body work for the past 18 years but I'm new to the Model A's. My question is, I have a 30 tudor sedan, I have the windshield frame complete but I can't figure out how to install it. I know the wood is missing but I'm wondering what else may be missing and what else I need to buy. I'm about to pull my hair out, HELP! Is this in wrong?

You can't install the windshield without the wood header in place. The windshield hinge is fastened to the header with wood screws.

Is that the windshield you have hanging in there? It does not look like any Model A closed car windshield I have ever seen.Maybe I am looking at something else and seeing it wrong, but I am missing the A windshield in that picture.

O.K Here's my windshield setting in place minus the wood header. You can see on the hinge the holes to screw it to the header. Doesn't look anything like yours. Don't look at how the windshield corners gap, I've taken the glass out for replacement and didn't want to push completely together. I think you've somehow gotten a hold of some other windshield.

but with the wood you would also put the header cover on first, then the windshield hinge.
