Found theses transmissions. I figure one is 50s and the other 49 up truck maybe?

The one at top of pic appears to be a late 40's to early 50's Ford 3 spd. side shift, open drive trans. most likely used in a pickup truck. The other one looks like a long tail shaft 51-53, Ford 3spd.

The early open drive, while still a useable transmission for remote control pick up applications, likely still has good gears in it. Most gears will be the same as a top shift and the side shift cars with the exception to the main shaft which would be for open drive set ups in pickups either top shift or side shift. If not rusty, the gears have good value.

The later narrow pattern FoMoCo trans may be pre 51 or post 51 but either way the gears still have some value if in good condition. The overdrive transmissions have a bit more value but the non-overdrive transmissions like that one were still pretty common on Ford & later Mercury cars (L51 thru 53) of the 49 through 53 era. The late diamond type gears from 51 up can not be interchanged with the earlier 49 through 50 model gears.

That side shift open driveshaft arrangement isn't all that common. And, the whole gear set can be installed in a top loader case for an open driveshaft floor shift truck. I'm not sure exactly when the trucks changed over, but it was in the early 40's. So, if you don't want it, I'll give you my shipping address and reimburse you for the shipping!

It's easy to convert a side shift to open drive. It was either made that way or is was converted.
