I wish I could tell you, My Dad bought it like 10 or 15 years ago when we were HEAVY into the Ford jeeps, GPA's, GP's and a Harley WLA. and going to a lot of MVPA rally's and shows. Sorry

V8Coopman

FOR EXAMPLE check out this distributor and drive unit!!! OH "AND" this is only 1/2 the battle AS there is a set of bronze beveled drive gears at the bottom.......We contacted 4 different specialty gear makers.......NONE were interested in making a set for us from our worn set!!! I finally got a set......current replacement wait time for the next batch to arrive from Sweden is at least a year!!!

Not sure what you mean starting at, "and Canada's our military".

WOW!
Thank you for sharing 38Bill. I had no idea Ford built so much for the military during the war. Very interesting for sure.

I remember my dad talking about grinding the gears on the Gun Tower trucks that he learned to drive in the Canadian artillery. Some were Ford, some GM.

I assume that some of these were Ford designed and some were designed by others and built by Ford. Still a remarkable achievement and worth remembering and commemorating.

The B-24 the Sherman Tank AND the ultimate final design of the WWII Jeep as we know it being examples of the latter part of your statement!!!
