Default Mechanical fuel pump

Mechanical fuel pump.
I recently purchased another 31 Model A Three window four-door, it came with a model B motor with a mechanical fuel pump. My question is should I continue using the mechanical fuel pump or use the gravity feed like most of Model A’s not sure if it makes a difference or not. I was told the fuel pump is valuable and should put a cover on the motor and try to sell it?? I guess the real question is will it run any different with or without a mechanical fuel pump thanks in advance for your help. Daba

If you are running an updraft carburetor, nix the pump. If a downdraft, you'll need it. If updraft, keep it for now, in case you change your mind...

Gravity never stops working and never breaks down.
