Default Motor ID

I picked up this motor today. I was told it was out of a generator for a searchlight. Does the fuel pump mount look correct? I don't think I've seen this kind before.

It looks more like 8BA stuff. Most of the earlier engines used the pump stand as an oil fill port.

Pictures of the complete engine would give a lot more information as to the possible origin of the engine. At this point it looks like it has a spacer of some sort under the intake manifold.

The pipe plug in the bell housing area looks like the block was manufactured with the Canadian oil filter / cooler setup in mind.

I have seen one set of heads with those weird protrusions cast on the ends (above the 81 mark in your second picture) like those before. I don't know their origin through.

Hi Guys, sorry I didn't post more photos. The motor turned out to be junk. I feel kind of embarrassed I bought it. I should have learned this lesson several motors ago.

Yes, it would have been a Canadian motor ready for the full flow system.

Actually, it is an "engine", not a "motor".
