Default Steering arms

Does anybody still sell new steering arms for the model A? Synder’s new catalog only shows to rebuild yours. I can’t find them on Bratton’s online catalog. I’ve heard and read about horror stories with new balls put on. Thank you.

I don’t know of any new. Not knowing exactly where or who built “new” ones... I’d opt for correctly re-balled ones. The correct way is to fly cut the old ball and press and weld a new ball on the remaining stud. Ask the vendor and see how they do it. The reputable vendors which for sure includes Snyder’s and Berts will gladly provide info
Just imho

I bought a new pitman arm from Bratton's last October, part 5570, for $41.65. Works great. Don't forget wear can occur not only on the ball, but if the sector attachment bolt works the slightest bit loose or the sector shaft square isn't square and allows any movement, the pitman arm square hole will get worn as well.

There were supply chain problems last Fall, back then new 2 tooth sector shafts were not available anywhere.

Are you looking for Spindle Arms with new balls put on? We tried to find some last winter and there is one place in the US doing them. They use an original and mount new balls. The place doing the modifications shut down and became a one man operation out of his house, so production has slowed. We were fortunate to get a set - our supplier says he gets them, but they come in very slowly.

The ones Snyders sells; are the type that the old ball is milled off and new ball pressed on the stub. What their current supply is, you would have to call them.

A competent welder can reball them. I did mine.
