Re: Floormat
I looked at all my catalogs. I find brake front and brake right. I could not find a mat for brake left. You might call some of the suppliers, perhaps they have a way to custom build if necessary.

Re: Floormat
No suppliers do! LHD mats are as useful as fly screens on a submarine Even if they did sell RHD mats, from what I have seen they would not be good enough to stop the hot air from the exhaust manifold and pipe from coming up around the pedals and cooking our feet. Model As are not pleasant to drive in warm weather, let alone when it's hot. I see this as another short fall in the range of parts supplied. Ford MUST have had something in the day so where is it now? Just one more gap in the range provided by suppliers. There are many more, too. I find this surprising since, from information I have seen, more than 50% of cars in the world at the time were RHD. I have raised this with suppliers and they say that they supply what is what id demanded. I suspect suppliers don't see what the demand is because Model A owners from RHD countries know there is no supply and so improvise something else, leaving them in the dark as to what is really needed.

Also, I bought a mat for a right hand drive car I restored several years ago. I dont remember where I got it, but it was very thick and has lasted well. |

I would be VERY interested if you can remember where you got a RHD floor mat, assuming they are still available.

Re: Floormat
RHD floor mats are listed by Snyders. The small RDD pedal seal mat is also listed by Snyders. The pedal seal mat is also avaible here in Kiwi (NZ) I got mine from a supplier in Christchurch. Happy Motoring.

Re: Floormat
Assuming you are looking for a mat for a early 1928 (E28) I don't see any listed.
Here is a past thread on the E28 subject. https://fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123324

Re: Floormat
Les Pearson [ who now writes & publishes Model A technical manuals] some years ago had RHD front mats reproduced here in CHCH New Zealand.
There may still be some available from who ever took over his stocks. BTW, doubt very much if there were ever half of world Model A's RHD, including Canadian, US & British Model A RHD production.. I tried to compute the figure, maybe about 300,000 out of a total of up to 5 to 6 million if including the Russian Gaz?? I always interpret ''LH brake'' as a LHD with the early handbrake to the far left against the cowl. |

I have one of those mats that go around the pedals. Terrible fit and ride up on the pedals. It should be nailed down.
