Default old photo of my cabriolet from 1950

My cousin just sent this to me today, an old 1950 photo (copy) showing the car in use, hauling an antelope back home from a day of hunting. As you can see, it was a heavily used car. It would have been my grandmother's every day car at the time, but my dad's brother was likely using for hunting, probably in Susanville-Lake Almanor, CA area.

That's a great photo!
Do you still use it as a huntin' rig?

I see a red X. That must be the hunting target.

My '29 cabriolet in almost its current state, photo from summer last year, while car was in shakedown mode..

It is Model A powered but not at all a restoration. My father was original owner (Oct-Nov. 1929), and did not let me drive it before modifications were made (hydraulic brakes). I was barely a teen back then. It was my first car, and I have had it since 1958-1959. I pick up my first batch of finished painted parts this week. I hope to get the car finished in 2015, painted in its original Andulsite Blue, but a very slightly tweaked formula, more blue, less red, less black, still almost black with a blue-purplish hue.

Scenes like that, with a dead deer draped across the hood, are pretty common place in Illinois

Hey Russ,
Love the looks of that car !!
And , blue is going to make it stunning, eh.
Still , I'd like to see an antelope draped on it today as your Dad did back when. I've fished the areas around Susanville and have often thought of a antelope hunt in that area. Did you accompany your Dad on any hunting trips ? Any pics of engine bay ?
