Hi, I'm looking at a '30 model A on CL. The guy is touting it as a Murray body and that it's rare with only 500 being made.
I know about zero about Ford's earlier than '35.
Is this indeed a rare body? And does rare mean more valuable in this case? Im not going to ask it's value. That's whatever I want to pay. He's asking $10k with a stuck motor. Car looks to be in excellent condition with 7800 miles.

Nice looking in the photos. Not sure about his claim there were only 500 made, I think that count might be far short of the real number. Kinda sad, if it was a show car being stored outside under a tarp!

The Murray bodied sedans are not rare cars. I would be hesitant to pay that much for a model A that does not run unless it was a scarce body style. In this case it isn't. I own a 30 Murray town sedan. Nice cars but no way are they rare. Be careful with sellers making claims like this.
