Thumbs up Got the crank set

I am doing a 29 engine for a touring engine for my coupe. Doing the line boring was easy compared to hand setting the crank. The last time I did this was with my Dad by the Feel Method. I used all three methods feel , plastigage,
and foil. I want to thank the members for the informative post on this subject.

I have been using timesaver and bearing scrapers for the high spots and only use the foil to set up. I do not like the way plastigage spreads in babbitt bearings, I have noted inconstant results. I think the package say to use dry, I have found that using it that way does not work. I also have found it wants to embed in the babbitt, even the tin base. My OP, is it was made for modern shell bearings with a relative thin coat of babbitt. Also so how old it is plays a factor on how well it might work and spread. These are my OP's/observations, others may very and have great results.
