Off topic but a Christmas sentiment
OK, I wrote this this morning over a strong cup of hot black coffee. I know it isn't Ford, but I don't do social media etc. Perhaps it has no place here, but here goes.....
T'was the Christmas of Covid and all through the mall, Not a shopper was shopping, their paycheck too small. Their masks had been hung on the bare Christmas tree, In hopes a vaccine would soon come to be. The families were ordered to shelter in place, And only hug Grandpa with six feet of space. With Ma in her nightgown and I in my shorts, We'd turned off the tv, bad news and no sports. When out on the drive there arose such a clatter, Was it rioters, looters, just what was the matter? Away to the window I had to look out, But there wasn't a riot or looter about. The shine from the streetlights like that old Christmas star Showed a beat up old towtruck with a hook on my car. With a little old driver so sneaky and quick, I knew I'd been repo'd the Bank's dirty trick. No way to commute, parttime job faraway, So I got on my knees to reluctantly pray. There were many out there giving care to the ill. Or working on millions of viles to fill. They fought through the Spring and the Summer and Fall, A world wide race bent on saving us all. More rapid than ever these drugs were created, Now off to be frozen and styrofoam crated. On Fauchi,on Merck, on Moderna and Pfizer, On Masks and good distance and hand sanitizer. Now fill up those Fedex and UPS trucks, And cure this damn virus, the loneliness sucks!

Re: Off topic but a Christmas sentiment
Great memory! She WAS in healthcare and did all the blood draws and all the xrays at our clinic here for 26 years (and 20 years as emt and firefighter volunteer) until a big Seattle conglomerate bought out the operation and they asked her where she got her degree in radiology and flabotomy..... "here at the clinic when it was in the old cinder block building that's now the tavern".

Re: Off topic but a Christmas sentiment
I made a couple of small edits to remove what could have been considered offensive to some. Of course suggested by my kids......Didn't change the tale. Thanks for all the nice comments.
