1951 horn button repair
I have a 51 Ford pickup horn button that is coming apart. Does any one have a drawing of how the steel ring and the brass fingers are held under the button ?It looks to me that the ring should be bonded into the inside of the button, holding the brass contact fingers in place, ? Am I on the right track ? Thanks for your help. Don

Re: 1951 horn button repair
In case anyone is wondering if I managed to repair the horn button, this is what I did. The steel ring was a little loose, so I pinched it on the sides just a little ,then pressed it in place on the top of the tub. I bonded the brass fingers to the underside of the button. There are 3 raised surfaces on the bottom of the button that I used to bond to. I drilled 3 , 1/16 "holes in the ring of the brass fingers to act as a rivet when the resin cured. Works like a charm.
