Default 41 pickup grill/splash pan

Hi All,
I have a question for you 39 Delux ,40 standard and 40 41 pickup owners. My lower grill pan is a full inch higher then my splash/radiator pan. They are both in vary nice original condition nothing bent or smashed they just don't connect like I think they should. What am I not seeing? Is there a filler piece I'm missing? The bolt holes line up but there is a full inch in between of nothing. Thanks Tim

My originals were pretty rough and rusty so both of them are repops. They were within 3/16 of each other.
Sorry I can't help much.

Here you go.
The radiator mounts on top of the frame. The splash pan mounts under the flange on the frame. Let me know if you want any other pics.

Thank you for the Pic's.
I will go compare to what I have this afternoon. I found out my lower grill pan is for the six cylinder as is my hood and latch , so that may be why the V8 radiator pan doesn't line up. The telltale is the grill pan has a factory stamped hole for the radiator drain cock .
Thanks again , Tim

I remember when I built the blue 41, the pan under the radiator did stick down like yours. I called my friend that owns the black 41 I show in the picture. His is original and it does stick down just like yours. Good luck
