To be clear; if it only overheats at idle, I'd run the piss out of it. If it overheats going down the road, I think you may have other problems.

I will take the thermostats out today (9/26) and see what happens. Can`t drive it yet, need to install the accelerator pedal.

I had a hot running 59A after a rebuild too. After 4 or 5 short rides the problem was gone, like what tubman said above.
I'd leave the thermostats alone and concentrate on getting the accelerator pedal installed then get it on the road! |
