Bruce lancaster
From the HAMB. "I got word from Bruce’s son that Bruce has suffered a stroke and is in ICU". Many of you will remember Bruce's contributions over the years. Haven't seen much from him lately. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/...aster.1170248/

Re: Bruce lancaster
He's one solid dude - I hope he pulls through with a quality of life that he'd desire. Strokes can be a real bastard as far as the range of severities and resulting conditions. I'll say a few prayers to the Big Guy for him.

Re: Bruce lancaster
Over the past half dozen years or so, he's had significant others pass away around him so these times have had to have been hard to deal with. I hope he still has the will to stay around a while. He is very much valued for his easy going nature and love of things Ford. Probably more than he knows. He is an Ace among the librarians and I've known quite a few in my time.

Re: Bruce lancaster
The two of us (Bruce and I) went out to Hershey together on the Thursday. He bought a manifold. Since then, I haven't heard from him. He was a bit down but he'd lost two wives and his ex-wife over the past several years. I'll try to find out more.

Re: Bruce lancaster
I have a strong appreciation for Bruce. I got a book order from him recently and was not aware of his health issues or problems. I can only wish him ALL THE BEST for a significant recovery.

Re: Bruce lancaster
I stopped by the hospital for a couple of minutes. He's conscious but not too alert. The nurses are working to get him comfortable since they've taken him off some of his meds. There wasn't anyone there to talk about the past or future but for his condition, Overlook Hospital is the place to be.

Re: Bruce lancaster
I saw Bruce yesterday. He's in ICU and conscious but not too coherent. He's got arms and legs moving so I take that as a good sign.

Saw him again this morning. He's out of ICU and resting comfortably. Nurse says his vitals are good.

Re: Bruce lancaster
I was shocked to hear about this happening.
I had just read his name the other day,,,when I started hunting for information on Flatheads. People were saying that he was someone that was very up on these engines. That same evening I read on the Hamb that this had happened . Boy,,,,,it stopped me in my tracks! He has a stellar reputation for good knowledge,,,and being a good man as well. Hope and definitely Praying that he makes a full recovery . Tommy |
