Default Paint Colors

Good evening,

I'm getting ready to have my '30 Deluxe Coupe painted, and I like the look of Arabian Sand Dark. The books all say that this color was used only in 1928. Does anyone know why Ford discontinued it? Has anyone who used this color had any problems with it, like fading? Lastly, is there a list of optional colors by year and model, or otherwise?

Thanks, Mike

Mike, the color for 30 would have been Copra & Chicle Drab, was not changed due to problems, ...it was changed for marketing purposes. New colors (however so slight) bring on new excitement for the salesmen.

My suggestion would be for you to get a half-pint of each correct color and do a spray out onto a panel with the two together and look at them for a few days. If it is not what you want, then get a spray out of the Arabian Sands and repeat the process to see if you like it any better.
